South Campus House Cup

Welcome Wake Forest Class of 2020! We on South Campus are very excited that you are joining the WFU community. We are looking forward to a great year!

Welcome

Pro Humanitate and the House Cup

Pro Humanitate. That's our motto! It is Latin and translates to "For Humanity." We take this motto seriously on South Campus. The goal of the South Campus House Cup is to foster a positive community among residents. The expectation is that members of the South Campus community make positive contributions to their residential community, Wake Forest community, and in the larger Winston-Salem and global communities. This means being a good citizen of the communities in which you belong, treating others with equity and kindness, serving those in need, and respecting property.

Not all community contributions are positive ones. Destructive behavior (underage alcohol use, drug use, vandalism, theft, destruction of property, noise, disrespecting others) has a negative impact on a community. In order to maintain a healthy residential community, residents are expected to hold each other accountable. If you see something, say something.

To earn points, students can participate in a variety of activities related to community engagement. A number of these activities are listed under the "Opportunities for Engagement" page on this site. After participating in an activity, students then submit an Activity Submission, which allows them to reflect on the activity and how it pertains to positive community contribution.

Points can be detracted when community is impacted in a negative way. Acts of vandalism and destruction of property, bullying, and violations of Wake Forest policy and/or Federal law are examples.

All points are assessed by the Residence Life Coordinators for South Campus.
