Ways to Earn Points

  • Participate in activities related to community, and submit an Activity Reflection (bonus points are given for the optional reflective essay.)

    • Examples can include:

    • There is a difference between equality and equity. Equality means everyone is given the exact same resources, i.e. everyone has shoes. Equity means everyone is given the resources they need, i.e. everyone has shoes that fit.

    • Remember the Platinum Rule: Treat others the way they want to be treated.

  • Hold your peers accountable:

    • Address others if you see them vandalizing your community.

    • Report issues to hall staff.

    • Encourage your peers to reconsider their choices around drugs and alcohol.

    • If a friend or peer has consumed too much alcohol, get them the medical attention they need. Safety is the number one priority for all residents of South Campus.

    • Keep your door locked (99% of thefts in South Forest residence halls since 2014 occurred when doors were left unlocked.)

This list is not all-encompassing. These are just a few examples of ways residents can contribute to communities in both positive and negative ways. Points are updated by the South Campus Residence Life Coordinators, Norma Altidor (South 2 - Bostwick, Collins, South, email: altidonj@wfu.edu) and Sarah Magness (South 1 - Babcock, Johnson, Luter, email: magnesse@wfu.edu).
